Design and Build
Lenovo S660 comes with a 4.7 inch display with a qHD resolution which we feel should have been 720p instead to enhance the quality of the screen. The screen gets quite good viewing angles and the brightness levels can be improved as well to account for a better design. The Lenovo S660 features an all plastic body which feels pretty robust to hold. It gets rounded off corners which further add to the appeal of the smartphone. Overall, it comes with a good build quality for the device.
Camera and Storage
The Lenovo S660 gets an 8MP snapper at the rear with a LED flash and same is pretty decent for a mid range device. You get an average 8MP snapper in the segment that the S660 will be venturing into and the same performs slightly better than its counterparts. There is a VGA camera up front as well to complement the rear camera. The internal storage of the S660 stands at 8GB and it can be expanded by a microSD card by another 32GB and this is pretty much the standard package in the budget quad core segment. So even though Lenovo has done nothing out of the ordinary for the device, it hasn’t gone wrong either with it.
Battery, Operating System and Chipset
Lenovo S660 gets a 3,000 mAh battery which the company claims will provide a talk time of up to 10 hours on 2G and 7 hours on 3G. The smartphone will easily last you a day and a half under normal usage and will prove to be better than majority of the competition in this regard. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and might get an Android 4.3 update in future but we would not get our hopes too high for that. The KitKat update seems a bit out of the question and won’t really hit the device in all probability. A 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor does the processing duty in the smartphone and the same is present in every budget quad core device these day. It is good enough to get your daily chores done with ease.

Conclusion
The Lenovo S660 feels like a good device to hold and comes with a set of well rounded off features for the price it commands. It won’t disappoint you but if you can compromise on expandable memory and screen size, the Moto G accounts for a good choice too. But as far as the S660 is concened, the smartphone will be a decent seller in India as well as the global markets in which it gets launched.
