The update is dubbed ‘UC Browser+ HD 2.3 for iPad’. As social networking users grow in number and in usage hours, the company introduced a new feature called ‘Social Links’, which aims to bring to you what friends want to share with you. In other words, the app will sense the content that you are likely to enjoy and access, and pre-fetch the same to you without you having to move a finger. Here’s what officials at UC Browser had to say ‘It fetches posts in your social streams that contain url links from popular social networking sites, including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, and displays them in a pop-up widget’. Sounds nifty, doesn’t it? The other major highlight that the update gets is the floating video player. This might not be a new concept for Android users, but iOS users might fancy this little feature. It will allow you to have a floating window which will play your favourite online video. This window can be resized anytime by the user. The video player will come along with an online video library called VideoS which the user can set up before any videos can be played through the floating window. You can also switch to full screen at any time. Other minor updates include – a larger wallpaper library to suit your every mood, and a Multi Touch Gesture feature. A noteworthy addition is UC’s integration with popular note-taking software Evernote, which will allow you to clip web-pages and other info and quickly add it to your Evernote.
